Our Heath Agreement
To the best of the breeder's knowledge, the kitten is in good health at the time of sale and is free of internal and external parasites. The breeder guarantees the kitten to be in sound health upon transfer to the purchaser.
The purchaser agrees to have the kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within two weeks of purchase and to notify the breeder within 24 hours of any adverse findings. If a veterinarian identifies a health issue during this initial examination period, the purchaser may return the kitten to the breeder for a full refund of the purchase price. Veterinary expenses, travel expenses, and any other related costs are not refundable.
Prior to going home, each kitten will receive age-appropriate vaccinations and preventative care. A health record will be provided to the purchaser at the time of pickup. Rabies to follow at 6 months (where required) and is the responsibility of the purchaser.
One-Year Genetic Health Guarantee
All kittens are sold with a one-year guarantee against congenital or hereditary defects. If a genetic condition or congenital defect is suspected, the purchaser must obtain documentation and diagnosis from a licensed veterinarian and provide that documentation to the breeder.
The purchaser is responsible for all costs associated with veterinary examinations, diagnostic testing, documentation, and transportation. Upon verification of a qualifying congenital or hereditary defect, the breeder will provide a replacement kitten of equal quality from a future, unrelated litter when one becomes available. Transportation costs for the replacement kitten are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Because responsible breeding depends on accurate health information, the purchaser agrees to notify the breeder of any diagnosed congenital or hereditary condition. The breeder would never knowingly continue a line affected by such conditions and it is imperative that we are notified of any health concerns that may impact future breeding decisions.
Veterinary Care and Expenses
Purchaser agrees that any and all costs or expenses associated with the health of the kitten, including any additional vaccinations that may be required depending upon the age of the kitten at the time that purchaser takes possession of the kitten, as well as future booster vaccinations, are solely the purchaser’s, and the breeder shall not be responsible for any bills or costs incurred by the purchaser for veterinary treatment and/or other treatment or therapies for the kitten.
Spay/Neuter Agreement
All kittens are sold as companion pets unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. The purchaser agrees to have the kitten spayed or neutered at an appropriate age (typically around 6 months of age) unless otherwise directed by their veterinarian.
Lifetime Return Policy
If circumstances ever arise that prevent the purchaser from caring for the kitten or cat, the breeder asks to be contacted first. We are committed to every kitten we produce and will gladly accept the cat back at any time during its life to ensure it always has a safe and loving home.
